That means I'll have my first out-of-state book signing! It's all happened kind of at the last minute, but I would LOVE to see some of you. On Saturday, February 2nd, from 1-3 pm, I'll be signing copies of Edenbrooke at the Deseret Book store in Santa Ana. Here's the address: 2230 E. Seventeenth St. Santa Ana, CA.
I hope to see you there!!!
So exciting!! Both the Disneyland trip and the first out of state signing. I hope you all have a blast!
ReplyDeleteThat's my store. :-) They're super nice.
ReplyDeleteI get to come! Saturday is a Family Adventure day for us, and my husband agreed to incorporate the book signing. Our 2-year-old is going to a birthday party in the morning, but then the plan is to go to Santa Ana before spending the evening in Downtown Disney. If you want any Disneyland hints let me know; it's my favorite place when such a visit is possible.
ReplyDeleteWell, now I am sorely tempted to cancel my trip to Salt Lake and be your assistant/driver/nutritionist/stylist. Love you.
ReplyDeleteFUN FACT: January 28th was the 200th anniversary of the publication of Pride and Prejudice!!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I want to say awesome blog! I had a quick question in which I'd like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your head prior to writing. I've had
ReplyDeletea hard time clearing my mind in getting my
ideas out. I do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like
the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally
lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas
or hints? Appreciate it!

You were so delightful at the Las Vegas book group. What a treat to meet you and talk about Edenbrooke and the writing process. I also loved the story of going to England and how the plane ride was so crazy!
ReplyDeleteI read about you meeting Isaac on the street. I love that you see the hand of God in your life and that you were grateful for that flat tire. What a great day!
I picked up Edenbrooke to start reading yesterday and ended up reading the entire book in 4 1/2 hours! No joke, ask my husband. I LOVED it! I loved it so much I'm going to buy so that I can re-read it anytime I want! I hope you have more books coming soon!
ReplyDeleteI just want you to know I LOVED Edenbrooke. And when I say LOVED, I mean I have read it like 6 or 7 times. It really is such a fun read and it puts me in the best mood. My book club is actually meeting tonight so we can discuss it and I've had many of the girls tell me how much they have loved the book as well. Thanks for writing this book! You are awesome and I look forward to your future books.
ReplyDeleteAlso, what a heartbreaking story about Isaac. I'm glad you and many others were able to bless him and his family so much. What a sweet boy and he'll be in my prayers.
I miss hearing from you...blog!!!! ;D So I just reread Ednebrook for probably the hundredth time. I'm dying. WHEN DOES BLACKMOORE COME OUT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?
